Create posts by chatting with MIA

Updated 2026-10-26

In two lines: ask MIA for the post you need —in Content Studio > Create or in its panel— and it creates the image with your brand and writes the text for each network, on two cards in the conversation. The image is saved by itself in your Media Library; the post reaches the Planner only when you press a button on its card: Send to review, Schedule or Publish.

Where do you create, and who helps you?

  • Content Studio > Create — Social Media > Content Studio opens on Create, its first tab: the conversation at full screen. On the left are your creation conversations —each with the thumbnail of its last image and how many images and posts it has, with the With creations · All filter and a search box—, and on the right, In this conversation, with what you created there (on narrower screens, in the Creations button). New creation —or the N key— starts another one, and / takes you to the message box. On the phone, ☰ opens the conversations.
  • MIA's panel — from any screen, with ⌘J (Ctrl+J on Windows) or the MB AI button. It's the same conversation: Open in Create, in More options (⋯), takes it to Content Studio at full screen. And in ⌘K, Create a post with MIA takes you straight to Create.

In Create, the Social Media agent helps you —by default, Agustina—, as long as it creates images; if not, MIA. A line under the header says so (“Agustina is helping you because you're in Content Studio · Switch”), and Switch lets you choose another one. In the panel, MIA creates from any screen; a specialist, only if it works in Content Studio: if another one is helping you, use Hand off to MIA.

To create you need edit permission in Content Studio and, to build the post, also in the Planner. Without the first, Create tells you so —“To create with MIA you need edit permission in Content Studio. Ask an owner or an admin.”— and Content Studio opens on Social Series. Without the second, MIA creates the image —which is saved by itself in the Media Library— and you download it or use it from there.

How do I create a post?

  • Open Social Media > Content Studio: it starts on Create. Write what you need —“An Instagram post to present our new product”— or tap one of the suggestions: Let's create a post for Instagram, Let's create a post for LinkedIn, Make this photo look like a professional studio shot or Content ideas for the week. If you have a photo of your product, drag it in or attach it with the +.
  • MIA only asks what it can't work out —for example, whether your photo is your product or a reference— and creates the image. Its card shows Creating the image… with a timer: it usually takes between 20 seconds and 2 minutes, and meanwhile you can keep chatting.
  • Adjust it with a sentence: “warmer”, “remove the background”, “the same one as a story”, “put my logo bottom right”. Each retouch is a new version, and the strip of versions lets you go back: Use this version makes it the chosen one.
  • When you like it, ask for the post, or use Draft the post on the image card. MIA writes the text for each network in your brand voice and leaves you the post card: it shows how the post will look on each network.
  • Review it on the card itself: the text of each network, the networks, the format, the date and time —in your account's time zone— and Instagram's AI-generated content switch. What you change shows right away and is saved on its own.
  • Choose what happens next with a button: Send to review, Schedule or Publish. The post goes to the Planner with the image you chose —it's already in your Media Library—, and the card offers you Open in the Planner.
MIA writes the text from what it asked the generator for, not by looking at the finished image. If the image came out different from what you expected, tell it in the conversation and it adjusts the text.

Your photo: the product as it is, or a reference?

A photo you attach can be used in two ways. As your product, MIA keeps it as it is —its shape, its label, its colors— and places it in a new scene. As a reference, it takes its mood, its palette and its light, without copying the composition. If it can't tell, it asks you just once, in a few words.

Make this photo look like a professional studio shot, among the suggestions in Create, opens the picker for you to choose the photo of your product —on the phone, also from the camera— and leaves the request written for you to send. MIA keeps your product as it is, without asking whether it's a reference, and places it in a studio: a clean backdrop, soft even light and the product centered.

An attached photo only works for the images of the message you send it with: as soon as the generator reads it, it's deleted. To use it in other images, upload it to the Media Library from the + of the message box (Choose from Media Library) and pick it from there. If you ask MIA for it later, the card says “The source photo is no longer available. Upload it to the Media Library from the + to use it again.”

To start from an image that's already in your Media Library, use Choose from Media Library in the +, or ask MIA for it in the conversation: it uses it as a source, without copying it. On the phone, the + also offers Take photo, to shoot your product with the camera.

What's on the image card?

  • The image — with its format (4:5, 9:16, 1:1 or 1.91:1) and its version. Click it to see it larger, and use ← and → to go through the versions.
  • The versions — on the newest card of each image: look at any of them without changing anything, and Use this version makes it the chosen one. Older cards show their version and See the latest.
  • Download image and Edit image — the first downloads it as a PNG; the second opens the Content Studio design editor, to add text, shapes or buttons: saving there creates a new version, at no cost.
  • Open in Media Library — every version is saved by itself in your Media Library, in the Created with MIA folder, as soon as it's ready. If it couldn't be saved (for example, because your storage filled up while it was being created), the card shows Save to Media Library instead.
  • Draft the post — while the image has no post yet, it leaves the request written in the message box, for you to send it.
  • More options (⋯) — See what I asked for shows the description MIA gave the generator. It doesn't appear on an image made in a message that brought a file, or after reading text written by other people.
  • The cost — at the bottom, the credits that image used, or No cost for the logo and the editor.
The logo doesn't spend credits and shows up instantly: MB Suite places your brand's logo; the AI doesn't draw it. Ask MIA to put it, move it or remove it —“the logo bottom right, on a light plate”—. If your brand doesn't have that logo loaded, MIA tells you so: an owner or an admin uploads it in Settings > Branding.

What's on the post card?

The post as it will look on each network, with one tab per network, and everything you can change before it goes out:

  • Text — click it to edit it; it's saved when you leave the field. A counter shows you the network's limit, and Customize for {network} gives that network its own text.
  • Platforms — the ones connected in the account, which you turn on and off. A network that isn't connected shows up off: an owner or an admin connects it with Connect. X and TikTok aren't offered here.
  • Format — Feed or Story. A story is only for Instagram and Facebook, and its text isn't published.
  • Date and time — in your account's time zone, which the card names. Schedule needs them.
  • AI-generated content — the switch for Instagram's AI label, off by default (more below).
  • Amber notices — when something won't go through: a network that isn't connected, a format a network doesn't take, a text over the limit, the missing time to schedule it, or an image that's still being created.
Each time MIA changes the post, it leaves a new card, and the earlier one says “There's a newer version of this post”, with Go: only the latest card has buttons. If you edited the card, MIA reads your changes before touching it again.

What does each button do?

  • Send to review › Internal review — the post goes to the Planner in Internal Review, for your team to look at it. In a client's Account, the same menu offers Client review: the post goes to Client Review.
  • Schedule — the post goes to the Planner Approved and scheduled for the card's date and time: your click is the approval. If it doesn't have a time yet, the button opens the date picker; the time has to be at least 2 minutes ahead.
  • Publish — it asks you first —“Publish now on Instagram and Facebook?”— because it goes out right away on the connected accounts and can't be undone. Publish now confirms it.

While it runs, a line shows the step —Saving the image to the Media Library, Creating the post, Scheduling—. When it's done, the card stays as a summary with Open in the Planner and Open in Media Library; from then on, you change the post in the Planner. A post with no date that you send to review is placed on the next day's calendar at 10:00, in your account's time; in the Planner you give it the date you want.

If a step fails, what was already done stays —for example, the post is already in the Planner— and the card tells you why, with Retry, which continues from that step without repeating anything. If MB Suite can't tell whether a post went out, the card says “We don't know whether it was published: check it in the Planner before trying again.” Check it there before retrying, so it doesn't go out twice.

What reaches your account, and what stays in the conversation?

MIA creates without asking for your OK, whether you have it on Proposes or on Acts: nothing goes out of MB Suite while you chat. The images are saved by themselves in your Media Library, and the post is a draft that lives in the conversation, on its card: only you see it until you take it to the Planner. The conversation is kept for 12 months from its last change, or until you delete it.

Every image MIA creates is saved by itself in your Media Library as soon as it's ready, also each retouch and each logo change: in the Created with MIA folder —named in the language of the account's owner; you can rename it—. Your team sees them like any file, and they count toward your storage. With the storage full, MIA doesn't create the image and nothing is charged. The post, on the other hand, only reaches the Planner with a button on its card.

Deleting the conversation deletes its messages and the post drafts that didn't reach the Planner, and it can't be undone. The images stay in your Media Library, and the posts in the Planner too. If a card still shows Save to Media Library, that image isn't there yet: save it before deleting.

How much does it cost?

Each image MIA creates or retouches with AI uses credits from the Multimedia category, and the card tells you how many: while it's being created, what's reserved; when it's ready, what it really cost. The logo, choosing a version and the editor are free. An image that couldn't be created isn't charged —the card says “You weren't charged”—, and Retry uses credits again. The conversation itself uses Chat credits, like any request to MIA. See How MIA uses your AI credits.

MIA makes one image by default; ask for options when you want to compare. There are limits per message, per conversation and per day so a request doesn't spend more than it should: if you reach one, MIA tells you which and how to keep going. When the message brings a file —your photo or an image from the Media Library too— or the conversation read text written by other people, MIA creates fewer images per message and the cards ask you to review what came out before using it: it's the same caution it applies to everything you attach (see MIA and your data: what it sees, what it never sees and how long it's kept).

And the Instagram AI label?

On the post card, Instagram's AI-generated content switch is off by default: MIA only turns it on if you ask and, before you schedule or publish, it suggests turning it on when it applies. Turn it on if the image could pass for a real photo of people, places or events, or if it shows the product differently from how it is: some laws, such as the European Union's, and the networks' rules require saying so. Instagram then shows its AI label on the post. Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Business don't have that label: there, MIA suggests saying it in the text. Decide before it goes out: labeling what you publish where the law or the networks require it is your responsibility, and the conditions that apply to your use of MB Suite and to what you publish are in our Terms and Conditions. More in Formats and requirements per platform.

In a client's Account

From your agency's workspace you can create for one of its Accounts: tell MIA which one. The cards show the Account with the In {Account} label, and the brand, the networks and the Planner are that Account's. Client review only appears on the posts of an Account.

What if something goes wrong?

  • “The generator couldn't create this image because of its content rules. You weren't charged.” — rephrase the request with Adjust the request, without what could go against those rules (for example, real people or other brands' logos).
  • “The generator is overloaded. You weren't charged.” — try again in a moment with Retry (it uses credits again).
  • “It's taking longer than usual.” — wait a little longer; if it doesn't finish in time, the card offers Retry, and if the image was still being created, it isn't requested or charged again.
  • “Multimedia credits ran out…” — owners and admins see Open Usage, which takes them to AI Agents > Usage to buy more or reallocate the budget; the rest of the team sees the same notice, asking an owner or an admin to do it. With credits again, Retry on the same card asks for the image again.
  • “The source photo is no longer available…” — it was attached in an earlier message: upload it to the Media Library from the + and use it from there.
  • “The generator doesn't accept HEIC photos…” — choose it again from the + (your phone converts it automatically) or upload it as JPEG, PNG or WebP. You weren't charged.
  • “The account's storage is full…” — since every image is saved to the Media Library, MIA doesn't create it and nothing is charged: MIA tells you so in the conversation, and the cards show this notice if you press one of their buttons. Free up space in the Media Library or upgrade the plan (see What counts toward my storage?).
  • “Creating by chatting isn't available right now” — MB Suite turned MIA off for a while in your account: meanwhile, create with Social Series or Photo Session, with the buttons on that same notice.

What it doesn't do yet

Each post carries one image: carousels and video aren't created here yet. For a whole batch with its calendar, or a product shoot in several formats, the advanced mode is still there: Content Studio: generate content with AI and Photo Session: product photos with AI.

The images are created with an image generator chosen by MB Suite, which receives the description of the scene, your brand and the photos you use as a source; what you publish is your responsibility. The use of MIA and of what it creates, and the handling of your data, are governed by our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Notice.

Still have questions?

Ask MIA, the MB Suite AI assistant: open it with the MB AI button (⌘J) in the top bar. MIA knows the section you're in, so you can ask it about what you see on screen — and it can also answer how-to questions about using MB Suite.
