Where do you create, and who helps you?
- Ad Creator > Create — Paid Media > Ad Creator opens on Create, its first tab: the conversation at full screen, as in Content Studio. On the left are your creation conversations —each one says how many images, posts and ads it has—, in the middle the chat, and on the right In this conversation, with the ads first (on narrower screens, in the Creations button). New creation —or the N key— starts another one.
- MIA's panel — from any screen, with ⌘J (Ctrl+J on Windows) or the MB AI button: if you can edit the Ad Creator, MIA makes ads there too. It's the same conversation: from a Paid Media screen, Open in Create, in More options (⋯), takes it to the Ad Creator at full screen. And in ⌘K, Create an ad with MIA takes you straight to Create.
In the Ad Creator's Create, the Paid Media agent helps you —by default, Lucas—, as long as it creates images; if not, MIA. A line under the header says so (“Lucas is helping you because you're in Ad Creator · Switch”), and Switch lets you choose another one. If the conversation comes from Content Studio with Agustina, she creates the image but not the ad: use Hand off to MIA.
How do I create an ad?
- Open Paid Media > Ad Creator: it starts on Create. Write what you need —“An ad for Instagram and Facebook to present our new product”— or tap one of the suggestions: Let's make an ad for Instagram and Facebook, Let's make Google Display banners, Let's make a LinkedIn ad or Make an ad with my product photo.
- If your request doesn't say what you want to promote and doesn't bring a photo of your product —as with the suggestions for Instagram and Facebook, Google Display or LinkedIn—, Lucas first asks you, just once and in a few words, what the ad promotes: a product, a service or an offer. Answer him —with your product's photo, if you have one—, or tell him to go ahead: then he builds it from what he knows of your brand. If your request already says it, or brings the photo, he skips that question.
- Lucas creates the ad's image in the format of the main network and, in the same message, drafts the ad: its card arrives while the image is still being created.
- Adjust it with a sentence: the image, like any image MIA creates —“warmer”, “my logo bottom right”—, and the texts —“a shorter headline for Meta”, “add LinkedIn”—. You can also edit the texts yourself, right on the card.
- When you like it, press Build N sizes on the card: the button says how many sizes and how many credits before you press it. To choose which ones —and the networks—, use Networks and sizes first.
- Each size shows up on the card as soon as it's ready —together they usually take 1 to 4 minutes— and meanwhile you can keep chatting. When they're done, a notification arrives in the bell, with the link to the conversation.
- Download everything with Download all, or open the ad with Open in Creatives: it's already saved there, with its sizes and its texts.
What does the ad's image look like?
A promotional piece, as a designer would make it: a short headline with the hook —with the offer or a key detail below it, if there is one—, your logo and your brand's colors, and your product or what your client gets as the hero. A service is shown by its result, never by someone working. It has no drawn button: each network adds its own, and the Google banners get the one in Button text on the banners when the sizes are built. On a Google banner the image is the whole ad —Google doesn't show the ad's texts there—, so when the ad has banners, Lucas keeps the headline even shorter: some sizes only fit a few words.
Your photo: the product as it is, or a reference?
Make an ad with my product photo, among the suggestions, opens the picker for you to choose the photo of your product —JPEG, PNG or WebP; on the phone, also from the camera— and leaves the request written for you to send: Lucas keeps your product as it is and places it in the ad's scene. A photo you attach on your own can also be a reference —its mood, its palette and its light, without copying the composition—: if Lucas can't tell, he asks you just once.
What's on the ad card?
- The header — Ad, its networks and, in a client's Account, In {Account}; the title; a pill with the status —Draft, Building the sizes · 4 of 9, Ready · 9 sizes or 2 sizes failed—, and ⋯ with Open in Creatives, Download all and Copy all text.
- Ad image — the chosen image with its version (“{title} · v2”); Change, to pick another ready image or version from the conversation, and Edit image, the design editor: saving creates a new version, at no cost, and the ad moves to it. While the image is being created, the sizes wait: “Once the image is ready, you'll be able to build the sizes.”
- A tab per network — Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok, with the ad as it looks there: Meta, with Feed and Story; Google, with Banners and Responsive. While a size isn't built yet, the preview crops the chosen image and says “Approximate view: this size isn't built yet”.
- The texts — Meta: Primary text, Headline and Description; Google: Headline, Long headline, Description and Business name —if you leave it empty, the account's—; LinkedIn: Introductory text, Headline and Description; TikTok: Ad text. Click a text to edit it: a counter shows that network's limit, it's saved when you leave the field —or with Enter, in the one-line ones— and Esc leaves it as it was. Each one has Copy.
- The buttons — each network's Button, from the options that network offers; in Google, also the Button text on the banners, which is drawn on the Google banners. And the Destination URL, optional and one for all the networks: the preview shows its domain.
- Sizes — how many and of which networks (“9 sizes: 3 for Meta, 3 for Google, 2 for LinkedIn and 1 for TikTok”) and Networks and sizes, where you also choose the networks; once they're built, a grid with each one: click it to see it larger and download it with Download this size.
How does “Build all the sizes” work?
Every size comes out of the chosen image, so they all look like the same ad: a size with another proportion is the same image, reframed with AI, and if the image has your logo, each size carries it too, placed without AI. Networks and sizes opens Build all the sizes: the networks at the top and, below, the sizes of the Creatives wizard, each with what it costs or where it comes from:
- Included — it has the chosen image's proportion: it comes out of the image without AI, at no cost, and it's built by itself.
- 134, in gray — the first size of each new proportion: a new image with AI, and those are its credits.
- From {format} — it shares the proportion of a new one: it's cut out of that same image, at no cost (for example, the 336×280 banner comes from the 300×250 one).
- Ready — it's already built for this image.
- Keeps your edits — you edited it in Creatives: when it's built again, what you moved or changed there stays on the new image.
At the bottom you see how many new images it takes and how many sizes come out at no cost —“3 new images · 6 at no cost”—, and the button with the total. Nothing is saved until you press it; if everything you checked is already built, Save the sizes keeps the choice without building anything.
How much does it cost?
Writing and changing the ad doesn't use credits beyond the conversation itself, which uses Chat credits like any request to MIA. The image uses Multimedia credits, like any image MIA creates: its card tells you how many. And the sizes use Multimedia credits only when you press Build N sizes: each new image costs 134 credits, like an image MIA creates, and the size with the chosen image's proportion and the ones that share a proportion with another don't cost anything. That's why the 300×250 and 336×280 Google banners come out of a single image, and so do the 1.91:1 sizes of Meta, Google and LinkedIn. The button always shows the total before you press it, and Lucas never presses it for you.
If the generator is busy, an image can cost half: the difference comes back. A size that couldn't be built isn't charged, and Retry N sizes charges it again. If the total changed while you were asking —for example, because the sizes changed in another tab—, nothing is charged: check the button and press it again. See How MIA uses your AI credits.
And if I change the image after building?
Choose another image or version with Change —also a retouch Lucas just made— or edit it with Edit image: the ad moves to the new version. The Included sizes are built again by themselves, at no cost; the rest are marked as being from the previous image —“3 sizes are from the previous image.”— and the button becomes Rebuild N sizes, with its total. A size you edited in Creatives keeps your edits on the new image.
What reaches your account, and what stays in the conversation?
Lucas creates without asking for your OK, whether you have it on Proposes or on Acts: nothing goes out of MB Suite while you chat, and nothing is published or uploaded to an ad account. The ad is saved by itself in Creatives, next to the wizard's, with its sizes and its texts, and your team sees it there. Each size is also in your Media Library, in a folder for the ad inside Created with MIA —“{title} · ad”, named in the language of the account's owner—, and it counts only once toward your storage. The conversation, on the other hand, is only yours: it's kept for 12 months from its last change, or until you delete it.
In Creatives, the ad shows Made in a conversation. Its detail brings Ad copy —one tab per network, with Copy and Copy all text— and Download all, with every size and the texts. The design editor works as on any creative —Edit image, to move the logo or the button—, but there's no Edit & regenerate, Retry or Create variation: the ad is changed in its conversation, which only you open from there, with Open the conversation; under the texts, the rest of your team sees “Made in a conversation.” If a size failed, the detail says so —“2 sizes failed”— and it's retried from the conversation. And Remove this size deletes that file: it also leaves the Media Library, and on the card it shows as not built.
Download all —on the card, in its ⋯ or in the Creatives detail— downloads the same ZIP: a folder per network with each size, and the texts in two files, textos.txt and textos.csv, ready to copy into each network's ads manager. On the phone, the card's opens the share sheet with the sizes as separate images, without the texts, so you can save them (on the iPhone, to Photos); if the images take a while to get ready, the button becomes Save the images: tap it again. The texts, with Copy all text.
In a client's Account
From your agency's workspace you can make the ad for one of its Accounts: tell Lucas which one. The cards show the Account with the In {Account} label, and the brand, the brand voice, Creatives and the Media Library are that Account's.
And the AI label?
What if something goes wrong?
- “2 sizes failed” — the ones that failed aren't charged, and Retry N sizes builds them again (it uses credits again).
- “Sizes are already being built in this conversation…” — one round is built at a time per conversation: wait for it to finish.
- “The total changed in the meantime…” — nothing was charged: check the total on the button and press it again.
- “You reached today's image limit…” — choose fewer sizes or continue tomorrow; if you still have some images left today, the card tells you how many. Nothing was charged.
- “Multimedia credits ran out…” — owners and admins see Open Usage, which takes them to AI Agents > Usage to buy more or reallocate the budget; the rest of the team sees the same notice, asking an owner or an admin to do it. Nothing was charged.
- “The account's storage is full…” — free up space in the Media Library or upgrade the plan (see What counts toward my storage?). Nothing was charged.
- “This ad changed in another tab…” — the card is already up to date: check it and try again.
- “You need edit permission in that account's Ad Creator.” — ask an owner or an admin of that account for it.
- “The account's subscription isn't up to date…” — an owner or an admin has to settle the payment before the sizes can be built.
- “Creating by chatting isn't available right now” — MB Suite turned MIA off for a while in your account: meanwhile, create with the Creatives wizard, with the Creatives button on that same notice.
What can go wrong with the image itself —the generator's content rules, an overloaded generator, a photo that's no longer available— is in Create posts by chatting with MIA.
What it doesn't do yet
Each ad carries one image: carousels and video ads aren't made here yet. For Google Search text ads, use Copies, and for a batch of creatives with the wizard, Create creatives in Creatives —see Create creatives and copy for your ads with AI (Ad Creator)—. And nothing is published or uploaded: you download the ad and upload it to each network's ads manager.
Still have questions?
Ask MIA, the MB Suite AI assistant: open it with the MB AI button (⌘J) in the top bar. MIA knows the section you're in, so you can ask it about what you see on screen — and it can also answer how-to questions about using MB Suite.
