Apply, confirm and undo what MIA does: the cards

Updated 2026-10-22

In two lines: everything MIA changes, or wants to change, arrives as a card under its answer: a proposal you apply or adjust, a confirmation that only runs with your click and says exactly what it will do, and a result you can undo with one click.
When you ask for numbers from your platforms, the answer brings another card, one that doesn't change anything: the data card, with the chart or the table and the period's totals. How to use it is in Ask MIA about your numbers: campaigns, traffic and social in a data card.
Four more cards have their own article: Saved to memory, when MIA saves something in your account's memory, with Undo (see What MIA remembers: your account's memory and how to correct it); To connect, which takes you to connect a platform while MIA sets up a new account (see Set up your account with MIA: ready to work in a few minutes); the Background job card, with the estimate, the credit cap and the live progress of long work MIA does in the background (see Background jobs: hand MIA the long work and get on with yours); and, with a specialist, the one that offers Hand off to MIA when what you ask falls outside its area (see The chat in each area: who helps you and how to hand the conversation to MIA). The cards a background job leaves while it works arrive in a message labeled Background job · {title} and work like the ones in this article.

How do I use a proposal?

When MIA is set to Proposes for you, or when in that request it read something written by other people —your records, a file you attached, settings anyone on your team can write, platform data broken down by campaign, ad or search term—, each everyday change comes on a card that starts with I propose (with the exception for names explained in The two levels of MIA: Proposes and Acts). It tells you what it will do and where —the module and, in agencies, the Account— and shows the change field by field, with the before and after of what's edited. Nothing changes until you decide:

  • Apply (Enter) — the change is made and the card shows the result.
  • Adjust — the cursor goes to the message box with the question “What should I change?”: write what you want different, send it and MIA redoes the proposal.
  • Dismiss (Esc) — nothing changes, and MIA knows you dismissed it.

If MIA proposes several changes in the same answer, they come together —“3 proposed changes”— with Apply all 3 and Dismiss all, and each one keeps its own buttons. Only what the card shows is applied: if something wasn't in view, it doesn't run.

Sometimes, when you apply it, a proposal turns into a confirmation: “This change now needs your confirmation: review it on the card.” It happens when something changed since MIA prepared it —for example, the campaign it touches was scheduled in the meantime—. Nothing ran: review it and confirm.

Why do some actions always ask for confirmation?

Because a mistake there costs too much: what can't be undone, what touches many items at once, what goes out of MB Suite —now, or later because it stays scheduled or turned on— and what's sensitive, like access or the account's settings. In those cases MIA never acts alone, whatever the level: it prepares a card that starts with Needs your confirmation and waits for your click. Red cards are for what can't be undone or what's done in bulk; amber ones, for what goes to the trash, what leaves MB Suite and what's sensitive. A label tells you which: Irreversible, Goes to the trash, Bulk, Bulk, to the trash, Irreversible, in bulk, Leaves MB Suite or Sensitive.

What does a confirmation show?

  • Exactly what will happen, with the number — the title and the button say the same thing: “Delete 12 deals”, “Send to 3 people”.
  • What it touches — the list of items and the warnings, if there are any.
  • What happens with what's deleted — Stays in the trash for 30 days, A reference copy is kept, but it can't be restored or This can't be undone.
  • If it goes out of MB Suite — Channel, To, From, When and Content: who receives what, and when, before it goes. “Goes out now” or “Goes out later: it stays scheduled or turned on”.
  • The number to type — with 100 items or more, or when what's deleted can't come back from the trash, you type it before confirming: “Type 120 to confirm”.

When you click, MIA checks the numbers again before doing anything. If they changed since it prepared the card —someone added deals in the meantime—, nothing runs: the card shows the new ones (“…there are now 14. Review it and confirm again.”) and waits for another click. While it runs, the button shows Confirming… and stays locked until it finishes.

A “yes” written in the chat doesn't confirm anything: only the button on the card does. That way no message —not even one that slipped into a lead's note— can confirm something in your name.

What can I do with a result, and how does Undo work?

When MIA makes a change —because you applied it, because you confirmed it or because you chose Acts—, a card that starts with Done tells you what it did (“Done: I created the task…”). From there:

  • Open takes you to what was created or changed; if MIA prepared an export, the button is Download.
  • Undo reverts what MIA just did: what it created is deleted —it goes to the trash if that module keeps a copy— and what it edited goes back to its previous values. The card then shows Undone.
  • If MIA deleted something that went to the trash, the owner and the admins also see Go to trash, to restore it within 30 days (see Recover what was deleted: the organization's Trash).
Not everything has Undo. What goes out of MB Suite, what can't be undone and what's done in bulk don't have it: that's why they always ask for your confirmation first. It also doesn't appear on some changes MIA can't reverse exactly; in that case, if you need to go back, ask MIA or change it from the screen.

And if MIA wants to use an action of my screen?

Some screens let MIA use their own actions: the label “N actions on this screen”, next to the message box, lists them. When MIA wants to use one, it leaves you a Use an action on this screen card with the action, its parameters and the reason it asks for your OK; you run it with Apply or discard it with Dismiss.

Cards don't wait forever: if one expires, it says “Expired. Ask me to prepare it again.”, and you ask for it again in the conversation. And you can use them from the keyboard: Tab moves between cards, Enter activates the main button and Esc dismisses.
What MIA sends, publishes or deletes with your confirmation is done in your name, as if you did it from the screen. Messages that go out, data retention and the trash are governed by our Terms and Conditions.

Still have questions?

Ask MIA, the MB Suite AI assistant: open it with the MB AI button (⌘J) in the top bar. MIA knows the section you're in, so you can ask it about what you see on screen — and it can also answer how-to questions about using MB Suite.
