Organize your files in the Media Library

Updated 2026-08-18

In two lines: the Media Library is the single place for each account's images and videos: you upload them once, organize them in folders, and reuse them in your content without searching for them on your computer again.

How do I upload files?

In Media Library, use Upload Media and select your images or videos. The section shows the size allowed for each; they're available instantly for all your work.

Each Account has its own Media Library. If you can't find a file, check that you're in the account where you uploaded it.

How much space do I have?

At the top of the Media Library you see the Storage bar with how much of your plan's space you've used. That space is shared across your whole organization —not only the Media Library— so the bar reflects everything heavy you upload. To see what counts and what happens when it fills up, see What counts toward my storage?.

How do I keep them organized?

With Folders: create one with New folder (you can give it a color and nest subfolders) and use Move to folder to arrange your files. A tidy library saves you minutes every time you look for a logo or an image.

Can I edit an image without leaving the library?

Yes. Every image has an Edit image button —on the card footer, in the right-click menu and in the list view— that opens the same design editor the Content Studio uses: free text, shapes, images on top, your brand logo, CTA buttons, crop and rotation, Safe zones to see what each platform's interface covers, and Templates to reuse a composition on another image. It's only on images (videos don't have it) and only if you have edit permission in the account.

  • Open the image with Edit image —from the card, the right-click menu or the list view.
  • Compose from the side rail —Text, Shape, Image, Logo and CTA, up to 20 elements per image—, reframe with Crop and check with Safe zones.
  • Apply Save. Your original is never modified: a new image appears in the same folder, with the same name plus (edited).
  • To keep retouching, open that edited copy with Edit image again: its elements come back live and saving updates that same copy —no extra copies pile up.
Editing doesn't spend AI credits: the image is recomposed on the spot. What it does use is space —the edited copy is a new file and counts toward your organization's storage.
An edited copy needs its original to stay editable: if you delete the original image from the library, the copy keeps working wherever you already used it, but Edit image can no longer reopen its elements. Keep the original while you're still iterating on the copy.

How do I use a file in my content?

When you build content —for example in the Content Studio or in a post— the Choose from Media Library option appears to insert an already-uploaded file, without loading it again. See Content Studio: generate content with AI.

Every so often, delete the files you no longer use: a lightweight library loads faster and is easier to search.

Still have questions?

Ask MIA, the MB Suite AI assistant: open it with the MB AI button (⌘J) in the top bar. MIA knows the section you're in, so you can ask it about what you see on screen — and it can also answer how-to questions about using MB Suite.
