Assign the data sources for each account

Updated 2026-07-14

In two lines: connecting a platform brings the data into your workspace, but each Account only shows information when you assign it the correct data source. It's the step that makes the client's dashboard stop being empty.

Why doesn't my account show data if I already connected the platform?

Because they're two different steps: connecting authorizes MB Suite to access the platform; assigning the data source tells each Account which of those ad accounts or profiles belongs to it. Without that second step, the Account doesn't know what data to show.

How do I assign the data sources?

Enter the client's Account and go to Settings > Data Sources. On each connected platform, use Connect (or Edit, if it already had a source) and choose which ad account, property, or profile belongs to it.

When you save, that Account's dashboards, reports, and metrics start populating with the correct data.

Managing many clients at once? In your workspace's Accounts view, the Assign Sources button opens Assign Data Sources and lets you assign each client's source to several Accounts all at once.
If you manage several accounts under a single MCC or Business Manager, this is the step that separates each client. Assign carefully: a wrongly assigned source shows another client's data. See Connect an account that manages several brands.

And if I still don't see data?

Check that the source is assigned to the correct Account and that the connection doesn't have pending permissions. If the problem persists, see I can't connect or a platform disconnected.

The use of the integrations and the handling of the data you connect are governed by the Terms and Conditions, which always hold the current version.
