Set up your portal: subdomain, custom domain, and brand

Updated 2026-07-13

In two lines: in Settings > Client Portal, the Settings tab defines two things: the address your clients enter through (a subdomain or your own domain) and your brand (name, logo, and favicon).

Where do I configure the portal?

Go to Settings > Client Portal and open the Settings tab. There you have the two blocks you need before inviting anyone.

How do I choose the portal's address?

In Portal Access Domain you choose how your clients arrive:

  • Subdomain — the quick option: you choose an identifier and the portal lives at your-identifier.mb-suite.com.
  • Custom domain — you connect your domain so the portal lives under your brand (for example, portal.youragency.com). It requires a verification step.
You need to configure at least the subdomain before creating a client's access. Without an address, the portal doesn't exist for anyone.

How do I add my brand?

In Brand & Appearance you define:

  • Portal Name — shown in the browser tab and in the welcome.
  • Logo (Light Background) and Logo (Dark Background) — so the logo looks good in both themes.
  • Favicon — the small icon on the browser tab.
You can turn the subdomain or the custom domain on and off at any time, without losing the configuration.

With the address and brand ready, the next step is to give a client access and control what they see.

Still have questions?

Ask MIA, the MB Suite AI assistant: open it with the MB AI button (⌘J) in the top bar. MIA knows the section you're in, so you can ask it directly about what you see on screen.
