In two lines: with New Client you create a client's access, assign them one or more Accounts, and choose which sections they see. The client accesses only what you assign, never your operation or other clients.
How do I create a client's access?
In Settings > Client Portal, the Clients tab, use the New Client button. There are two ways to grant entry:
- Direct Access — you create the account and its password; the client enters right away.
- Invite Client — you send a link and the client completes their own registration. They appear as Invited until they register, and then as Registered.
To create a client you need the portal configured. If you haven't defined the address, do it first in Set up your portal.
How do I choose which accounts and sections they see?
When creating or editing the client:
- Accounts — you assign them one or more of your Accounts. The client will see the data only for those accounts. (What is an Account? See Workspace and Account.)
- Portal Modules — you choose which sections appear (dashboards, reports, paid media, SEO, social…). The Reports Only preset keeps the portal focused on the deliverable for a client who just wants to see results.
That way the client sees exactly what you decided to show them, and none of your internal work is exposed.
Inside the portal the client only consults (read-only). The only exception: if you enable Social Media, they can approve or request changes to scheduled posts.
How do I manage existing access?
From the Clients list, in each row's menu:
- Active / Inactive — cut or restore access without deleting the client.
- Send Password Reset — for Registered clients (by invitation) who can't get in. If you created them with Direct Access, you won't see this option: use Edit → Regenerate Password and pass them the new one.
- Resend Invitation or cancel it, for those who haven't registered yet.
- Edit their accounts and modules, or delete them entirely.
Deactivating is better than deleting when the relationship might come back: you keep their configuration to reactivate them in one click.
Granting a client access to the portal and the handling of their data are governed by the Terms & Conditions.
Still have questions?
Ask MIA, the MB Suite AI assistant: open it with the MB AI button (⌘J) in the top bar. MIA knows the section you're in, so you can ask it directly about what you see on screen.
