I don't see data or can't operate in Paid Media

Updated 2026-07-13

In two lines: an empty Paid Media section is almost never an error. It's usually a platform not connected, a data source not configured, or costs that need syncing. Check the cause according to the symptom.

Insights or Overview appear empty

These views only show the platforms you have connected. If you don't see data, connect the ad platform (Google, Meta, TikTok, or LinkedIn) from Settings > Integrations.

If you just connected it, wait a few minutes: the first data load isn't instant.

Campaign Manager doesn't show campaigns or won't let me operate

Two frequent causes:

  • The connection is missing. Campaign Manager operates real accounts; without the platform connected in Integrations, there are no campaigns to show.
  • You didn't accept the initial notice. The first time it asks you to confirm you understand that changes impact real campaigns. Until you accept it, you can't operate.

These four tools are exclusive to Google Ads. If they appear blocked or empty:

  • Connect Google Ads from Settings > Integrations.
  • Additionally, configure a data source with the account's Customer ID (in Settings > Data Sources). Without that Customer ID, Auto-Budget and Recommendations can't read the account.
If you're a member and don't have access to the configuration, ask an account admin to connect the integration and configure the data source.

The plan doesn't show actual spend

In the Planner, a plan only reflects actual spend when its campaigns are linked to the real campaigns and the costs are up to date:

  • Link each plan campaign to its real campaign.
  • Use Sync costs to bring in the most recent investment.

If it still doesn't match, check that the campaign's dates fall within the plan's range: the spend of a campaign that extends outside the period may not correspond to that plan.

The numbers don't match what I see on the platform

It's almost always a matter of timing or range:

  • Data delay. Platforms report with some delay; today's or yesterday's may not be reflected yet. Sync again later.
  • Different date range. Confirm you're looking at the same period in MB Suite and on the platform.
General rule: before assuming something is broken, check (1) whether the platform feeding that section is connected (and with its data source, for Google Ads), and (2) whether the data needs to be synced or time to arrive. Those two causes explain the vast majority of empty screens.

Still have questions?

Ask MIA, the MB Suite AI assistant: open it with the MB AI button (⌘J) in the top bar. MIA knows the section you're in, so you can ask it about what you see on screen — and it can also answer how-to questions about using MB Suite.
